Since then, Rein has graduated magna cum laude from the University of Wisconsin—Oshkosh, obtained a medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, and practiced Internal Medicine for forty years. He has published short stories and non-fiction works. He lives in Wisconsin with his wife.
