Accumulus

On verdant summer grass we lie, squinting toward the sun
Sated on life like grapes for the vine, a fantastic trip's begun
The vapors blend and they dance, a chimerical trance
Sunflower stalks set off the canvass azure
While busying bees and a dragonfly
Hang on the breeze salted with summer lure
Of goldenrod, asters and oxeneye
I laugh at the world, "they're not I"
Splayed out on my back with barely a pulse,
Drowsy and tender ajudging the sky
Weaving with words a lilting tale so dulce
Of ships and steeds and lusty deeds
Rustling folds of a dress in the wind
Pulls me back down from lofty art flying by
Precisely the least, the softest, the feast
Love's in the details as set in the eye
