I am the Squid

I am the squid.

I see the tantalizing light before me and swim toward it, never reaching, but never losing sight.

I am vital, alive with anticipation, expectation, hope and desire. We are both alive.

The squid knows not why it forever chases the ray of luminescence.

I do.
