Victoria McGrew was born in Joliet, Illinois and raised in Racine, Wisconsin. At age sixteen, she moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she currently resides.
Victoria is a graduate of the MN School of Business, majoring in Business Administration. She is also a State Certified Nurse’s Assistant.
Victoria has had a passion for writing since she was eight years old. Today, the central focus of her writing, as well as her civic activities, is on the issue of self-esteem―especially for children.
Besides writing about this issue, she is a volunteer for numerous agencies including, Crisis Ministries, Feeding the Homeless, a Community Hospital and battered women’s shelters.
She is currently working on her next book entitled, Dry Bones.
Black Butterfly is a story of hope, perseverance, and destiny. It is a memoir of the events and memories that shaped Victoria McGrew's early life.
